Roux and Gracie's Guide to Trusted Products (updated 4/30/26)
I've been in a pet-centric business since 2002 but, more importantly, I have been a loving dog-parent since 1995. In that time I have researched and learned and come to rely on certain products and brands for my personal pets' health and wellness. I am sharing here to save you research time that can otherwise be spent with your precious furries! Elsewhere on this site you will find other trusted vendors too - this page is specific to pet health and wellness.
Things that matter to me: a brand's country of origin and where they source their ingredients. Standing behind their product. Excellent customer service. If it's listed here, it meets this criteria.
Should there come a time when I am no longer confident in a brand or a particular product, I will remove it. So if you see it here, we're good to go! Information is current as of 4/30/26.
Retail - Real Mushrooms.com - excellent source for mushroom supplements to keep your pets healthy! This is our best resource for purchasing mushrooms supplements. Roux takes Turkey Tail daily and has alternated with 5 Defenders. Gracie takes Lion's Mane daily for cognitive function - we had noticed a decline beginning (staring at walls, pacing and unable to settle at night), and after about three weeks on this Lion's Mane product she was back to normal.
