Resources (updated 1/25/25)
Being so closely involved in our local shelter and rescue community, I know how vital community programs are as a step in keeping pets with their families! So many places now offer low-cost spay and neuter (this is crucial!), as well as other support offerings to help with pet food or even veterinary care. Shelters do NOT want you to surrender your animals and many are now working to make the shelter a true last resort. I will be adding resources as I am able to learn more about them, but feel free to share with anyone you know who may be in need of these services. If you know of a resource I should add, please contact me.

No "Trouble" At All Animal Outreach - focusing on James, Johns and Wadmalaw Islands to provide pet food and supplies, financial assistance with vet care and spay/neuter, and building enclosures to get dogs off of chains.
Forgotten Paws of the South - supporting lowcountry families to keep pets in their homes! This group is also heavily involved in TNVR efforts in Berkeley County SC.
